Daily Prompt: That’s Amore

When I was a teenager I thought I knew what love was. I had met my future ex husband and thought we could conquer the world. I thought we were going to last forever…….

One day, we were in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant. There was an old couple that were getting out of their car. The man opened the car door for the woman and they were holding hands. I still remember them because they made a big impact on my thoughts of love. I remember thinking that I wanted to have that when I was older.

I didn’t find that love with my ex, but I have found it with my new love. We have been married nearly 3 years and I know we will last until we are gone. We WILL be that older couple holding hands.
