Easy Dessert Recipe

Published April 23, 2014 by suejansons

For Easter, I made a simple yet great dessert! I planned on taking pictures of it, but it was eaten before I could take any! That is how good it is!

1 box graham crakers

2 tubs whipped topping (Cool Whip)

2 lbs. strawberries, sliced

2 pkg. Velata Milk Chocolate

In a 9 X 13 pan, place a layer of whipped topping in the bottom, covering the entire pan. Next, place a layer of graham crackers, NExt add a layer of sliced strawberries. Continue with layers of whipped topping, graham crackers and strawberries, in that order, finishing with a layer of strawberries. I had three total layers. Melt the Velata packet in the microwave for 1 minute. Using the Velata pour spout, drizzle the chocolate as the top layer of the cake. Refrigerate for 4 hours. Serve and enjoy!

Have a great day!

Paula’s Choice is a Good Choice

Published April 22, 2014 by suejansons

I am a BzzAgent, which means I get to participate in campaigns with products. I was given a bottle of Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid to be able to review and as a thank you. All opinions are my own.

Because I am getting older, skin care is getting more important to me. I wish I knew years ago what I know now about skin care. I was one of the lucky people who always looked young for my age and my skin looked healthy. Then I reached an age when all of that changed.

Wrinkles are there and my pores have gotten bigger and I my skin has become dull. When I was offered to try this product, I was really excited! As soon as it was delivered, I opened the package and read all about it and tried it that very same day.

The first time I used it, my skin had a kind of gummy feel to it. My first thought was that this product is not very good at all. But, since I had agreed to give it a good try, I kept using it, two times a day as recommended. After a couple days, I noticed that my skin not longer felt gummy and actually felt soft! I discovered that even the best exfoliating products were not doing their job! But Paula’s Choice  was working like a charm, AND without all the actual scrubbing! How about that?

Now, I was happily using this product and as time went on, I noticed other things improving as well. My skin was brighter, my pores were smaller, and my wrinkles were less noticeable. I cannot say enough about this product!

One of the other things I was asked to do as part of the campaign was to go to and compare other skin care products. Well, let me tell you. I was shocked by what I found! I really don’t want to name brands, but you can go and compare yourself. It really seemed to me that the more expensive a product, the less it did for you! How crazy is that? I checked every brand I have used in the last year and found that some things were rated good, but most were rated poor.

But, please, see for yourself! I can honestly say that I will be using this product from now on and I am definitely going to check out some of their other products as well!

Hope you have a Scentsational Day!

This will be my second week playing this game! I think it is super fun! Why not give it a try? And if you find it fun, why not share? Here are the rules posted by Steve:

Steve’s Music Mix: All By Myself…

Here’s a reminder how it works:

Each week I will post 3 new questions so…

(1) Go to the music player of your choice and put it on shuffle
(2) Say the questions aloud and press play
(3) Use the song title as your answers

Title your post “Steve’s Music Mix – …” and link back to this week’s page.

Post your response in the comment section of that week’s page.

Have a look at the Archives or click on the “Music Mix” category in the category cloud on this page to see all previous weeks.

Any suggestions for future questions welcomed!

For more information, to submit ideas for future questions or just general feedback go to Steve’s Music Mix.

Here are this week’s questions sponsored by Kelly and my answers:

If I was stranded on a desert island…?

So Far Away- Staind

Comments: I would say this song fits perfectly. If it is deserted, I sure would be far away from everyone and everything!

If I was the last person on earth…?

Secret Separation – The Fixx

Comments: I guess it would be a separation, but I don’t think it would be much of a secret since I would know!

When no one is looking, I…?

Reach For The Sky – Ratt

Comments: I do this whether anyone is looking or not! And we should all reach for the sky!

Throw another dime in the jukebox baby…failing that submit your link by clicking on the “Mister Linky” icon below and feel free to take a look at other fantastic answers…

Finally Complete!

Finally Complete!

So a couple weeks back, I said I was planning to make a vision board for myself. Unfortunately, I got the creeping crud again (Thanks, Steven) and have been sick. I am still hacking up a lung, but I am not totally down for the count. Needless to say, that the seemingly simple task of making a vision board did not go as planned that weekend.

In fact, I did cleaning that weekend, even though I should have just laid in bed to get better. But, I did manage to gather up pictures for my board. It is not as easy as you might think! There are so many things you can put on a board as your dream items. Then there are inspirational quotes, and just uplifting things, and reminders. The list could go on and on.

So, I narrowed it down to a house I would love to own, a vehicle I would love to own, and some of the great places I would like to visit. Then it was onto ideas, goals and motivations.

I left room to add things if and when they appear to me. This is never a one size fits all kind of project. But I am very happy with the way it turned out.

Right now it is in my bedroom, but I need to move it because I want to see it first thing in the morning to pump me up for my day, and it is very dark when I leave.

What do you think? Do you have a vision or dream board? What do you have on yours? What you put on yours if you don’t have one? If you don’t have one, do you think it would help you if you made one? I ask because this is my first ever and I have no clue what works for other people.

Dream Big!

Daily Prompt: Land of Confusion

Published April 2, 2014 by suejansons

Which subject in school did you find impossible to master? Did math give you hives? Did English make you scream? Do tell!

Well, I am sure I am not the only one who was confused by algebra………

I have 2 words……. Imaginary numbers!

What the heck is an imaginary number?  According to Wikipedia “An imaginary number is a number that can be written as a real number multiplied by the imaginary unit i, which is defined by its property i2 = −1.[1] The square of an imaginary number bi is –b2. For example, 5i is an imaginary number, and its square is −25. Except for 0 (which is both real and imaginary[2]), imaginary numbers produce negative real numbers when squared.”

Really? How are you supposed to understand algebra when they throw pretend numbers at you? If I were going to choose an imaginary number, it would be whatever the correct answer is!

I remember there was this one girl in my class who could look at a number and immediately figure out what the square root of a number is! How does one even learn this stuff? My theory was she was from another planet. I cannot even fathom how someone could figure that out? And I am not talking easy numbers like 49. I am talking ugly numbers like 537……….

Since taking algebra in school, I have not once needed to use it. I have never needed to know the square root of any number either. And the only imaginary number I have had to deal with is the money I want in my paycheck.

I will leave you with my favorite algebra joke.

Dear Algebra, Stop asking us to find your x. She is not coming back.

Have a wonderful day!
