It is a sad day for me and my husband. Our friend Robert passed away on Saturday. Rob was a great person. He was smart, funny and very giving. He always had a way of making you laugh.
I looked on Rob’s facebook page, and it was clear to see that he touched many lives. The messages were still pouring in last night. I pray for his wife, Debbie. I can only imagine how hard this must be for her.
Rob loved music and one of his favorite bands was Rush. I believe the first time I met him was at a Rush concert. It was one of the first dates I had with my husband.
So, here’s to you, Rob. Not sure which song was your favorite, so here is mine. May you rest in peace. You are greatly missed.
I have been trying to hold off posting a Coldplay song, because they are one of my most favorite bands and I don’t want to seem biased. For my wedding ceremony, all the music that was played was Coldplay if that gives you any indication of how much I love them.
I have seen them 3 times in concert, and they put on one heck of a show! And the vibe of the crowd is so cool and mellow! I highly recommend seeing them in concert, if you can get tickets. They sell out fast!
I was reminded of seeing them in concert last night on my way home from the Moose Lodge. My husband put in a new stereo in my car and I can now hook up my iPod or iPhone! So, I have been loving listening to all my songs. I have it on shuffle so I can get surprised!
Anyway, this live version started playing, and it reminded me of how much I love Coldplay!
I hope you are having a good Monday, and I hope you enjoy this video!
I know Mondays can be tough. Believe me, I don’t much care for them either. In fact, this morning did not start off well for me. I could not find my car keys, which made me late. Then, as I was driving, I spilled my drink on my shirt!
But, I saw 5 hot air balloons flying in the sky! What a beautiful sight! It made me happy! It reminded me of my trip to Greeneville, SC where I went to see hot air balloon races. It is amazing to see 100 hot air balloons in the sky all at the same time! I highly recommend going if that is something that interests you. You can find out more about it here. http://www.aloft.org/
All of this leads me to my choice of video this morning! I chose “Happy” by Pharrell Williams! You cannot watch this video without feeling happy! All those people dancing with reckless abandon! And it has Minions! I love Minions! The above picture proves it! LOL
I love how all the people in the video just look totally happy! And the kids in the video are so cute! The song has this smooth sound. Very upbeat and perfect for a Monday morning!
The first song I heard this morning was “Love Me Again” by John Newman. I find it to be a quite powerful song. It definitely gets your attention when it is playing. It really got me in an upbeat mood on my drive this morning. I have heard it a few times before, but they do not play this song on the radio station very often.
The video has a Romeo and Juliette kind of feel. The two main characters are obviously attracted to each other, but looks like their “friends” don’t approve. While all this is going on, there are several people dancing. I use this term loosely, because their dancing is just weird to me. I would have liked to see the auditions for the dancing parts to this video! LOL
And then we have the end of the video, sort of…………… Kind of crazy in my opinion…….. However, I still really like this song!
For your enjoyment………………. Have a Scentsational Day!
If you know me, you know I love music! I thought I would try to have features on certain days, so I have now initiated Music Mondays!
So, my pick for today is Counting Stars by One Republic. I think it is such a catchy tune. I remember when they came out with Apologize with Timbaland. I love that song too! And Timbaland was everywhere when that song came out. He worked with Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake too.
Enjoy! And let me know what song or songs get you moving on this MLK Monday!
